About Golden Age Rituals 🌄
Every sanctuary has a story. Golden Age Rituals is the vision of Trish, a massage therapist, holistic bodywork practitioner and lifelong student of healing, built on a simple but profound belief that every body deserves to be deeply and intentionally cared for. This is the story of how that belief came to life. 🧚♂️
The Origins of Golden Age Rituals 🌱
Her story with massage begins long before she ever set foot in a treatment room. Born in Japan and raised in Nepal, she grew up immersed in a culture where massage is not a luxury, it is a birthright. In Nepali tradition, massage is considered essential to a child's development, a newborn is massaged at least once daily, often under the warmth of the sun, as one of the first and most frequent acts of love and care. For Trish, it was also a love language, quietly and tenderly passed down through a family of professional masseurs and beauticians who shaped her understanding of touch, healing and human connection from the very beginning. 💞
Belonging to an indigenous ethnic group of nature and ancestor worshippers in Nepal, she has always understood the body as something far greater than its physical form. She believes that everything is connected, body, mind, heart and soul, and that this connection extends outward onto every being, the planet and the universe itself. What we give and express, we receive in return. It is a philosophy that lives in her every intention and every session she delivers. 🌿
Formally trained across a rich tapestry of holistic bodywork, massage styles and techniques including Ayurvedic, Shiatsu and Swedish massage, she draws from both her roots in Nepal and her years of professional practice here in the Netherlands. Each session is a harmonious blend of these traditions, intuitively woven together into something entirely unique and personalised to each individual who graces her studio. 💆✨
The Soul Behind the Sanctuary 🌙
Not only a formally trained massage therapist, she is also an avid massage enthusiast as a client herself. To her, a truly great massage session feels comparable to witnessing a sunrise, specifically in her case, a sunrise over the gorges of lush, misty green hills that blanket the landscape of Nepal. Everything opening up and glowing from within. Warm, luminous and quietly alive. It is that feeling, that sacred, expansive sense of restoration, that she seeks to recreate for every soul that steps through her doors.
The word rituals was chosen with deep intention. Through years of practice and study, it became clear that the true power of bodywork is not found in a single session, it is found in the returning. Like a positive habit that compounds over time, regular massage becomes something sacred. A ritual. A commitment to the self that builds, deepens and blooms with every visit. 🪷
Alongside her lifelong relationship with healing, her path to founding Golden Age Rituals was also shaped by years spent in the corporate world, where the growing divide between professional life and personal fulfilment became impossible to ignore. In a world moving faster than ever, increasingly automated, digitised and streamlined, she found herself called back to what has always mattered most, the healing power of human touch and the profound simplicity of being truly present with another person. ✨️
Golden Age Rituals was born from that calling. From the courage to choose purpose over convention and to take full agency of a healing gift that has been present since the very beginning. 🌟
There is no greater feeling than witnessing a client leave restored, joyful and at peace. That visible relief, that quiet radiance, it is not just experienced by the client, but also by the massage therapist.
Because touch and presence are powerful beyond measure, and when healing flows freely, it moves in every direction. 🌌
